Howdy,
I am ready for another year. Sitting around is getting old. So is the cold. The T.V programming is getting stale. A half dozen times of the same program, enough. I need to be outside. The drives, short and long. Comrades around the fire. The laughs and stories. Events I have not been to. February drill will be a relief, amidst the winter doldrums. The off season is like the ship of sail, on a windlass sea. This years events can't come fast enough. The minds turned to mush and I am having troubles remembering.

Hello,
It has been an interesting month of December, weather wise. Heavy fog, freezing drizzle and rain, sleet and snow, every weekend of the month, and a few days during the week. It looked like a good blanket of snow for Christmas. A measly one to three inches will replace that which has melted. At least it will be a fresh snow. Happy Holidays to all.

we lost 17-0 but it was a bloody fun time. there were several innings that we got the local team out 1-2-3, though none of us ever got to third base.
a very good and VERY fun weekend overall
I was glad to fall in with the 104th

Am curious to know if a mail call is in the works for either Lake Villa or Minooka.

A nice weekend weather wise. Brevet Lt. Dillman almost taken out by a suicidal mosquito on Saturday. Attributed to company planning (a black project from the bug works). I thought drill went along fine. Maneuvered by the Bugle during Sunday mornings drill. Participated in the candle light tours "Skirmish for the Bridge". The skeeters were more of a nuisence than the Rebs. Went out on to the battlefield, both days, chased by those pesky Rebs. All seven dismounted on Saturday. A bit of maneuvering both days. A bayonet charge Sunday, in the crop circle. The younsters participated, with members of other units, in a period ball game, against the local team. Did not participate or watch, but understand it was a rout. Hopefully those that participated will have their say on this.

The Fox was closer than that river out east. Had to see if I could remember my password, since my last posting, a half year or so ago. Hoping to read something other than months old material. Seen stuff more current in the doctors office. So, What's up with everybody. Patomic, this don't look right.
